NORTH PORT, Fla. (WFLA) — The body of a young woman was found in a parking lot of a North Port Publix Saturday, according to police.
The North Port Police Department said her body was found Saturday morning at the Publix at Sumter and Price Boulevards.
According to police, the young woman took her own life around 5:30 a.m.
She has not been identified and police say counselors will be made available at her school later this week.
