TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – We already passed our previous high temperature record for today, which was 83° from 1995, but we are still warming, so stay tuned as to what the new record high temperature for today will end up being.

This evening will be quite lovely, temperatures will be mild and the skies will be clear. We will be in the comfortable 70s as the bright moon rises, which was full last night.

As we slip past midnight, the temperature will drop within a degree or two of the dewpoint and we will be fog prone, particularly near the coast.

We wake up to fog on Friday morning and it will be slow to clear over the Gulf and along the beaches. Temperatures will be in the mid 60s and will warm slowly into the upper 70s and low 80s. We have a small chance for a few isolated showers, especially late Friday. The most likely area to see the showers will be the Nature Coast.

A front passes early on Saturday, and it will bring in slightly cooler air. Highs will be back in the mid 70s Saturday, which is close to average for mid-February. Skies clear out during the day on Saturday. Humidity will be lower as well, so it gets a little cool Saturday night. Lows will be in the mid 50s.

Sunday should be pleasant, warming to near 80°, but the spring-like weather returns for most of next week with highs in the low-mid 80s.
