SEBRING, Fla. (WFLA) –Two teenagers have been arrested for shooting more than 100 windows with BB guns in April.

Logan Patrick Lashley, 19, and his 17-year-old cousin Reno Jay Lashley turned themselves in and were arrested Friday. Both are facing several felony charges.

Their spree resulted in 112 cars and nine businesses suffering more than $47,000 in damages from windows being shot out by BB and pellet guns.

A majority of the windows were vehicles, but there were also several businesses and windows at homes destroyed.

The vandals hit the front window of Olympic Restaurant not once, but three separate times.

“When it happened the third time I said something is not right here,” owner Maria Tsakalos said.

Tsakalos started to wonder if she was being targeted.

“I was afraid for my customers and my employees at that time,” she said.

Highlands County Sheriff Paul Blackman said security footage turned out to be a key piece of evidence.

“Security cam footage from both departments revealed a distinctive suspect vehicle,” Sheriff Blackman said.

The truck led investigators to the duo. Investigators told News Channel 8 the two confessed to the crimes.

“It came down to, they were bored and they didn’t have anything to do. They didn’t know the magnitude as to what they had done until they saw the damage on the news,” Highlands County Sheriff’s Office Detective Du’Wayne Kelly said.

Many of the victims were left with expensive repair bills, like Tsakalos, who has to pay $1,000 to fix her window.

“That makes me feel very terrible. I have other things to pay, not that window,” she said.

“I hope it stands as a lesson to other youth there are significant consequences for your actions, and there are opportunities to make much better decisions,” Sebring Police Chief Karl Hoglund said.

The two men must pay back more than $50,000 in restitution.STORIES OTHERS ARE CLICKING ON:
