LUMBERTON, NC (WFLA/WMBF) – Authorities released surveillance footage of a man they have identified in the search for a missing 13-year-old girl in North Carolina.

Investigators say the man may have some information about Hania Agilar, who was kidnapped from her Lumberton home Monday morning.

The FBI said the man was seen walking near the area where the teen went missing.

Authorities say Aguilar was waiting outside her home for a relative to drive her to school when she was abducted.

Thursday morning, officials discovered the green SUV that was stolen during the kidnapping.

They said they hope the surveillance video will lead them to Hania.

“The video we released shows a man wearing light-colored shoes, a light-colored shirt and a hoodie, walking south on Lambert then making a left on Highway 41, Elizabeth Town Road towards the Rosewood Mobile Home Park. Several vehicles were seen on the video driving past this man. If you saw the individual on the morning of November 5 or know this man, please contact our tip line,” said Andy de la Rocha, FBI Senior Special Resident Agent.

“We urgently need the public’s help. We need the public’s help. They helped us before to find the vehicle. They gave us tips. We need them more now than ever to find Hania and get her back. We need to bring Hania home and to her family and to this community where we live and she lives. She’s one of our own here,” said Chief Michael McNeil of the Lumberton Police Department.
