TAMPA (WFLA) – A caregiver is behind bars after deputies say she left a 5-year-old boy behind at a bus stop.
According to deputies, the boy was found alone on 4th Street and Paris Avenue Sunday.
The child told deputies Kelly Kimmel, 34, was a caregiver for the unnamed boy and told deputies that Kimmel had got on the bus without him.
The child was told by Kimmel to go home approximately two blocks away however he was unable to unlock the door.
Kimmel has been charged with neglect of a child.
