TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – today we saw fewer showers wandering onshore and as a result, we will be warmer this evening. the more isolated showers that are moving inland will fade after sunset or push east of our area.
Tonight the skies will clear out and temperatures will sink slowly down to 80°.
Saturday starts out mostly sunny and we will warm up very quickly. Drier air over us will limit the clouds and rain chances, but will make for steamy afternoon temperatures in the mid to low 90s, feeling more like 100°+ when you consider the humidity. the chances for rain are low at only 20%.
Sunday starts out sunny and dry, around 80°. We will see a few spotty afternoon showers after 2pm, but the day will be drier than average. Temperatures will be hot again, topping out around 93°.
Monday the drier air over us begins to erode and we will see an increase in showers. The onshore flow is still in place and that means a few coastal showers wandering onshore during the morning to mid day and inland afternoon showers and storms.
Tuesday our rain chances increase again to 40% and we can expect passing downpours. The increase in clouds and showers does hold our afternoon high closer to 90°.
The middles of next week looks similar, but Friday the winds of change begin to blow (finally!) We see our flow switch to easterly as we head into the weekend, which means slightly cooler nights and showers wandering from the East coast of Florida across our area later in the afternoon into the evening.
