The dentist who administered a sedative to Tommy Myers at what the state described as four times the maximum dose for a healthy adult, told the Board of Dentistry that Tommy stopped breathing and coded quickly.
What hasn’t happened quickly is any form of discipline for Dr. Veronica Thompson.
The board has voted to revoke her license.
The Department of Health continues attempting to negotiate settlements with her.
“They don’t want to prosecute her,” Tommy’s mother, Maureen Myers, claimed.
“They want to just fine her. They want to charge her for legal fees.”
In one proposed settlement, the state even offered to drop one of its most significant charges against Dr. Thompson.
