Straz Center will be CLOSED Sept. 9-10.

Electrify the Island in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week was scheduled to take place place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, on the grounds of Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium on City Island, Sarasota.  Due to Hurricane Irma’s current status the event has been cancelled.

All non-essential Clearwater city facilities (recreation centers, libraries, city office buildings, etc.) will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday

City of Dunedin Declares a State of Local Emergency All City Facilities to close on Friday, Sept. 8.

Hillsborough County Offices to be Closed Friday, Sept. 8, and Monday, Sept. 11.

Several Polk County government offices will close early Friday.

City of St. Petersburg offices will be closed tomorrow, Sept. 8. Additional facility closures include:

  • – Elementary and middle school child care programs at St. Pete Parks and Recreation centers closed Sept. 7-8
  • – All Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed through Sept. 10
  • – All Golf Courses will be closed Sept. 8-10
  • – The St. Petersburg Library System will be closed Sept. 8-10
  • – Sunken Gardens will be closed now through Sept. 10

The organizers of the 9-11 Memorial Program planned for September 11th in Sims Park, Downtown New Port Richey have announced that, due to Hurricane Irma the 2017 program has been cancelled.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Orlando office located at 5629 Hoover Boulevard will be closed Friday, September 8, due to Hurricane Irma.

Pinellas Park closed city offices throughout the weekend, along with Barbara S. Ponce Library located at 7770 52nd St N, Skyview Pool located at 9040 54th Way and all city parks will close at 5 pm on Friday.

The Florida Aquarium to close Sunday, Sept. 10.

Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water Street in downtown Tampa, will close Saturday, Sept. 9, through Monday, Sept. 11.

High Point YMCA, in Clearwater, will be closed Friday-Sunday.

The Goodwill store and facilities at 10596 Gandy Blvd., St. Petersburg, will close Sept. 7 in response to the mandatory evacuation of this area ordered by Pinellas County.

Neighborly Care Network and all its programs will be closed tomorrow and Monday, 9/11/17. Tampa Bay Downs, The Silks Poker Room and The Downs Golf Practice Facility will be closed Sunday and Monday.

All Tampa YMCA facilities closing Sunday, Sept. 10 and cancelling all programs, classes and events scheduled for Monday, Sept. 11.

Due to Pinellas County’s mandatory evacuation of Level A beginning at 6 a.m. Friday. Pier 60 will close at 10 p.m. tonight and stay closed.

Hillsborough County Tax Collector offices will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11.

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will suspend all public transit services on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Hyde Park Presbyterian Church is cancelling church on Sunday due to storm Irma.

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) services, including fixed-route buses, the Anna Maria Island Trolley, and the Longboat Key Shuttle, will be suspended beginning Friday, Sept. 8, in anticipation of Hurricane Irma.

Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam announced today the Florida Forest Service will be closing all campgrounds at more than 20 state forests starting Friday, Sept. 8.

The St. Petersburg Regional Office outbased locations in Sunrise, FL, and West Palm Beach, FL, will be closed beginning 12:00 pm, today, September 7th. These offices will remain closed on Friday and Monday, September 8th & September 11th.

The St. Petersburg Regional Office and all remaining outbased VBA locations in Florida will be closed on Friday and Monday, September 8th & September 11th. These include offices in Orlando, FL, and Jacksonville, FL.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue has postponed the 9/11 memorial service until further notice.  This event was scheduled at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens for Monday, Sept. 11.

The City of Tarpon Springs has announced the following closings and cancellations: Municipal Golf Course – Closed Sunday, September 10; Cycadia Cemetery – Closed Saturday, September 9 at close of business through Sunday September 10; Rotary Triathlon – Scheduled for Sunday September 10 has been CANCELLED; Night in the Islands – Scheduled for Saturday, September 9 has been CANCELLED; Tarpon Springs Library – Closed Saturday, September 9 through Sunday, September 10; Chief Butcher Retirement Party – Scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at the Elks Club of Tarpon Springs has been CANCELLED to be rescheduled for a future date.

Classes and events at the Patel Conservatory have been cancelled Thursday through Tuesday.

John Moreland’s performance at the Straz Center has been cancelled. A specific date has not been determined, but the performance will be rescheduled.

The Hillsborough County Schools community meeting regarding the 2018-19 bell schedule on Thursday has been cancelled.

The Hillsborough County Schools Transportation Committee meeting originally scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. has been rescheduled for Sept. 21 at 11:30 a.m. in the school board conference room 223.

All Pinellas County tax collector’s offices will be closed Friday.

The kickoff of USF’s football conference opener Saturday at UConn has been moved to 10:30 a.m. The move was made to allow USF adequate time to safely return to campus ahead of Hurricane Irma.

The Supervisor of Elections Office in Largo will be closed on Friday.

The Sail at Tampa Convention Center has closed due to inclement weather related to Hurricane Irma.

Sept. 8 event at AMALIE Arena with Chris Tucker and D.L. Hughley has been rescheduled to Oct. 7.

The 13th Judicial Circuit Court will be closed, Thursday and Friday, Sept. 7-8  due to the potential threat of Hurricane Irma.

All Circuit and County Courts of the Fifth Judicial will be closed on Friday Sept. 8, 2017 and Monday Sept. 11.

The Florida Inventors Hall of Fame induction ceremony and gala originally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8 has been postponed.

Florida Tech has canceled all home athletic events taking place this weekend.

St. Pete City Council meeting, including the evening public hearings (also includes the Budget public hearing) are cancelled.

Hillsborough County Public Schools Community meeting regarding 2018-2019 bell schedule on Thursday, Sept. 7, 6-7:30 p.m. has been canceled.

Wal-Mart says grocery orders and deliveries are canceled. They will not resume this service until Sept. 12.

Bryan Adams rescheduled Florida tour dates for his GET UP TOUR, which includes a stop at Clearwater’s Coachman Park on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.  Tickets will be honored for the new date, which will be announced soon.

The Murray Theatre at Ruth Eckerd Hall cancelled the upcoming performances of The Guys scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept.10 at 3 p.m.
