As Hurricane Florence continues to batter the Carolinas Friday afternoon there are a few other areas in the Atlantic Basin Storm Team 8 meteorologists are also tracking.
“In The Gulf of Mexico Invest 95-L never had a chance to become a tropical cyclone and is currently bringing heavy rain to parts of Texas,” said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Julie Phillips. “Since this disturbance is already moving into Texas there is now only a 10 percent chance of this disturbance becoming a tropical cyclone.”
Isaac continues to become more disorganized and weaker. Isaac is now a Tropical Depression and will remain a depression as it moves through the Caribbean. We will continue to track the remnants of Isaac next week though.
Tropical Storm Joyce is in the open Atlantic and will weaken as it moves Northeast and will not impact the United States.
Tropical Storm Helene is also moving to the Northeast and will also not be a threat to the United States.
