Tampa – Cheers could be heard all over the Tampa Bay area Wednesday night as the Tampa Bay Lightning took home a victory, advancing to the next round in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
But it was nearly 45 minutes into the game before the Bolts scored. News Channel 8 was there as dozens of fans packed Ferg’s Live across from the Amalie Arena.
“I knew we had it the whole time. I believe in this city. I believe in this team and to the next round we go baby. Number one,” Brett Owens yelled. “I’m going to be at the office early tomorrow grinding it out just like the Bolts.”
Fans admited the waiting was stressful.
“It was so stressful but we pulled it off and we won,” Vanessa Bell said. “I’m going to celebrate tonight, who cares about work tomorrow.”
