The Department of Veterans Affairs just approved Agent Orange benefits be awarded to Navy veteran Lonnie Kilpatrick of Pasco County.
Lonnie served on Guam during the Vietnam War.
According to Congressman Gus Bilirakis, recently declassified documents show Mr. Kilpatrick worked in an area sprayed by Agent Orange.
For years the Department of Defense insisted Agent Orange was not used outside of Vietnam.
This latest development pokes a hole in that story.
And so does a document that just came into Target 8’s possession.
